Caleb Cam: First French Fries

This entry is dedicated to my grandmother, Nana, who bought Blane his first french fries when he was a year old and enjoyed watching him eat every one! Every time she was with us and Blane was fussy, she would say, "That baby is upset because he's hungry for some french fries..."

Nana has already asked me if I've given Caleb any french fries yet. So, I thought for Valentine's Day, he could have some french fries. Wish you could've been there with us, Nana! I video taped it for you:

"Valen-time" Dates

Here are some videos from my date with my boys on Valentine's, or as Blane and Ally Beth say, "Valen-times." I took the boys on a date and Tony took Ally Beth out for dinner. It's so funny what kids pick to eat when you ask "Where would you like to go eat? We can go anywhere you want..."

Blane told me his three top choices, which we talk about in this video. Check it out...
Tony and Ally Beth ended up at SouperSalad, all because they have an all you can eat ice cream bar that Ally Beth LOVES. I wonder where she gets her sweet tooth??? Tony and I were hoping they'd pick something like Olive Garden, but no such luck! At least we didn't end up at McDonald's!!!

I guess we'll have to do some training in future years as to what types of restaurants are appropriate for special date nights! I will never forget this sweet guy in high school who asked me to go out on a date. I said yes. He said he'd take me out to eat Mexican, then to a movie. He picked me up at 4:30. I thought we'd be driving to Conroe or somewhere special for dinner, since we left so early. No such luck. We ended up at TACO BELL!!!! He worked there and got our meal for FREE! Then, we jetted over to the movie theatre to make sure we hit a matinee. Needless to say, that romance didn't go far!!! Hopefully, we can train our boys a little better!

(BROWNE disclaimer: I am NOT opposed to CFA in anyway, just not where I envisioned spending Valentine's dinner...but we'll be there every other day of the year...except Sundays! :-)

Caleb Cam: Who Said White Boys Can't Dance?

Caleb LOVES his Johnny-Jump-Up (if that's what they're still called?) He often gets his hands stuck down in the leg holes, but that doesn't stop him from jumping! Grandma and Doh-doh (Tony's parents) came over for dinner the other evening and we were showing them a cute little video clip online that had a lot of fun music. Caleb was just going crazy jumping as he heard the music, with his hands stuck down in the leg holes, and no expression on his face. We were rolling! Grandma and Doh-doh were over and they couldn't stop laughing, either! It may be one of those "you just had to be there" sort of things, but here's a video to help with that:

Here's the video that we were watching (which is SUPER cute!!) WATCH ALL THE WAY TO THE END!!!

Valentine Girls

This weekend, Jenny (Tony's sister) and her hubby, Doug, and their 5 kids came to Grandma's. Blane went to Grandma's to stay with the boy cousins and I picked up the girl cousins, Emily and Erin, to come stay at our house. Emily is 9 months older than Ally Beth and Erin is 6 months younger. So, Ally Beth is right inbetween the girls in age, making for lots of Girl Fun when they all get together! The girls got matching Valentine shirts, so we just had to take some pictures. Take a peek. Choose the "PLAY SLIDESHOW" option.
